Amazon Kindle 2 Advantages
We’ve done the work for you and reviewed the Amazon Kindle 2
1. The Kinlde 2 has access to the largest selection of eBooks through the Amazon Kindle store.
2. One of the great features of the Kindle 2 is the use of its Whispersync, allowing you to share the books you’re reading with friends and family
3. The Read to me feature enables readers to actually “hear” the book rather than reading it.
4. It is my opinion, and my opinion only, but I do think the Amazon Kindle 2 looks better than Kindle 1. Its design is flowing and looks much sleeker
5. Up from the 4 level gray scale of the Kindle 1, the Kindle 2 comes with a better, 16 level gray scale screen. Along with e-Ink technology, it is easier to read.
6. The Kindle 2 has 25% more batter life than it’s first generation. However, battery cannot be replaced.
7. Up to 2GB of internal memory, however, it is not possible to expand memory
8. Eco friendly solution, saving cutting of trees for paper.
9. At $259 the Kindle 2 is a great return on investment.
10. The Kindle 2 now has international version. That means you can travel with your Amazon Kindle abroad!
Kindle 2 Disadvantages
1. Only comes in one color. Come on Amazon, where is your creativity?
2. The lack of a color screen is another problem I have.
3. No Next Gen technology like touch screen. Kindle 2 actually is a little behind in terms of latest screen technology – however, have to admit that touch screen doesn’t really work well with eInk and perhaps not having touch screen is a good decision.
4. The battery cannot be replaced.
5. Not being able to upgrade to a new memory card. This is a huge mistake – why would Amazon so severely restrict the flexibility the Kindle offers as a potential storage device for personal files and documents.
6. No PDF support.
Should I buy the Amazon Kindle 2?
1. After price has dropped to $259, the Kindel 2 is an excellent buy.
2. If you already own Kindle 1 and enjoying it, there’s no point of upgrading to the Kindle 2
