One of my primary tasks for the site MarvelComicBooks.org will be to review current Marvel Comics. The books will be graded on a 5 star rating system, and I’ll be reviewing an individual comic’s single issues, story arcs, and mini-series as a whole. In addition, I’ll be reviewing big-screen adaptations of Marvel comics, such as The Incredible Hulk, as well as animated DVD releases like Hulk VS.

All reviews are meant to be taken on their own basis, and not in comparison to any other reviews that have come before-hand. Currently, I’m collecting about 25 Marvel Titles a month, and that doesn’t even figure in all the one-shots and mini-series that I’m also buying at any given time.

On average, I spend about 35-40 dollars per week on Marvel Comics, and let me just say that my girlfriend’s thrilled! lol So, I’m hoping that my prolific collecting means that I’ll be reviewing books that will appeal to a wide range of potential readers.

And let me just state once again that my opinion on these books isn’t right or wrong; It’s just my opinion. I’m genuinly hoping that whether you agree with me or not, my reviews will prompt you to write in and let me know what YOU think about the Marvel Comic I just praised or trashed.

A writer that I’m currently enjoying, like Ed Brubaker, may not be as appealing to another reader. An artist that everyone thinks is a legend may not be one of the ones that I’m in love with, (Jack Kirby, anybody? Ooooohhhh… I’ll bet THAT will start things off on the right foot. lol). In the end, there are still people out there that liked Howard The Duck:The Movie. God help them. lol

I basically want a shared love of the medium of comics in general, and Marvel Comics specifically, to bring people together and spark conversation so that we all may benefit from the viewpoints of others. In the end, let us Assemble like the Avengers! And not disassemble… like the Avengers!lol

Oh, and I’ve intertwined some Marvel comic auctions into the site as well, mostly to keep things in one tidy place when I’m feeling to itch to expand my collection!
